This child needed new shoes...notice hole in toe of shoes he had on. Happy Feet is held in churches around Lake Atitlan. Teams bring new or slightly used shoes. Long lines are always seen when word gets out that a church is hosting Happy Feet. Many people get shoes for the first time in their lives. Some teams also wash feet prior to fitting with new shoes. It is a very humbling experience and also one that is very, very much appreciated by the people from the churches.
